MORROW, GA (WKOW) -- Police in Georgia arrested a man in an elf suit after he reportedly told a mall Santa he was carrying explosives.
Police say William C. Caldwell III, 45, got in line Wednesday evening to get his picture taken with Santa Claus. He was not part of the mall's Christmas staff.
When he reached the front of the line, he reportedly told Santa he had dynamite with him. Santa was able to call mall security in time.
The mall in suburban Atlanta had to be evacuated, and police say no explosives were found.
Caldwell will face charges including possessing hoax devices and making terrorist threats.
