Farley is running for the seat vacated by Johnny Winston Jr., who is not running again.  James Howard is also running for the seat.

Farley is the director of the Chris Farley Foundation, which helps raise awareness of drug and alcohol abuse and addiction. Chris Farley died of drug-related causes in December of 1997.

Tom Farley wrote a book about his brother. Farley lives on Madison's West side with his family.
