BELOIT (WKOW)-- A Beloit company will help make dreams come true for a New York family this weekend.
Patch Products played a role in ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition set to air Sunday.
It makes Patch Products co-owner Fran Patch 'Someone You Should Know.'
I got a first-hand look at one of Patch Products most popular games right now.
Co-owner Fran Patch tested my word-knowledge with the game Buzzword.
Patch Products manufactures and distributes 780 different games and toys.
"We produce 10 to 15 new products a year, but we look at 500 to get one," said Fran.
From board games, to card games, to trying your luck with a roll of the dice in Farkle, you can find the Patch logo on the box.
"This particular product we make right here in Beloit," said Fran.
Patch Products celebrates their 25th anniversary this year.
"It's fun! Everybody has fun playing games. It's something the whole family can sit around with and enjoy together," said Fran.
They will add an unique feather in their cap this weekend. The designers from ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition wanted Patch Products to help in one of their dream-come true builds with what's called Uberstix.
"The one 10 year old son likes architectural things," said Fran.
Uberstix are like other construction sets except they can connect with other products like Legos or Erector and even your old cups and straws.
Uberstix's inventor flew to New York to build Uberstix skyscrapers like these in the 10-year-olds brand new bedroom.
"If you haven't seen it before it's really exciting because you have never seen anything like it," said Fran. "There's nothing like it on the market, so I'm sure he'll be excited about it."
You can see Patch Products' Uberstix creation Sunday beginning at 7pm on WKOW.
