Former Racine mayor to be sentenced in sex scandal

RACINE (WKOW) -- The former mayor of Racine faces up to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty in December to charges stemming from an Internet sex sting.

Gary Becker pleaded guilty to child enticement and attempted sexual assault of a child under 16 in exchange for the dismissal of six other charges.

Prosecutors allege Becker, 52, tried to arrange a tryst with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl but turned out to be a state investigator.
