Motorists can get up-to-the-minute travel information by either dialing 511 or going to
www.511wi.gov. The following construction related traffic impacts are expected for May 3-9, 2010.

Columbia County
Highway: I-39/90/94
Location: WIS 60 to County CS, Columbia County
Schedule: March – May; Sept.-Nov. 2010
Description: Pavement replacement and installation of median safety walls
Traffic Impact: Four lanes (bidirectional) traffic open. Delays expected Friday afternoons (northbound) and Sundays (southbound). Alternate routes recommend during peak hours. Six lanes open June-Aug.

Highway: I-90/94

Description of work: Pavement repair and bridge work

Traffic Impact: Flagging operations at the intersection of Pleasant/WIS 131 from March 29-April 20. Detour route US 61 to New Well Rd. to WIS 131 starting April 21 until completion.

Location: Lien Road bridge overpass, Madison, Dane County
Schedule: March –September 2010
Description: Replacement of bridges over Lien Rd.
Traffic Impact: Periodic lane closures during non-peak hours. Eastbound I-39 ramp from High Crossing Boulevard is closed through May, detour route US 151. Lien Road is closed through June, inbound motorists on Lien Road routed to Felland Road, Nelson Road and US 151; outbound motorists routed to Zeier Road, US 151, Nelson Road and Felland Road. The WIS 30 ramp to eastbound I-39 will be closed March 29 to mid-June. Motorists will be routed to US 51 north to eastbound I-39.

Description: Reconstruction/expansion of westbound Interstate to three lanes
Traffic Impact: Traffic shifted to eastbound side of highway. Four lanes open (bidirectional). Speeds reduced to 55 mph.
