MADISON (WKOW) -- Park Bank is warning its customers not to give out their personal or banking information to anyone calling them.
Bank customers from across southeastern Wisconsin report unexpected phone calls from a company claiming to be Park Bank -- they're not.
The calls ask for sensitive financial information -- don't give it out.
Park Bank released a "Scam Alert" on its website on Friday confirming these phone calls are not legitimate.
Banks will never call you unexpectedly and ask for your personal or banking information. They already know it.
Here's the full alert posted on Park Bank's website:

MADISON, Wis. — Park Bank has received numerous inquiries from clients who report unsolicited, automated phone calls asking them to reveal sensitive credit card information.
Neither Park Bank nor any other legitimate company will ask you to reveal sensitive personal or financial information in an unsolicited call or through e-mail. Any company with which you do business should have this information and not have to ask you for it.
The defense against this type of scam is simple: do not give personal or financial information to anyone who solicits this data via e-mail or over the phone. In response to such a request, contact the company supposedly seeking your account information by calling a telephone number you know to be legitimate.
Anyone who has fallen victim to this scam and revealed personal account information should contact Park Bank immediately at (608) 278-2801.
Park Bank of Madison, Wis. is a community bank with nearly $800 million in assets, a growing network of 11 branch locations, and more than 200 ATMs throughout Wisconsin and beyond.
