MADISON (WKOW) -- "Do-It-Yourself" projects are popular these days and managing your diet is no exception.
On Saturday, the Willy Street Co-op taught people how to raise chickens, how to become a beekeeper and how to brew beer, as part of the co-op's Eat Local challenge.
"We want people to succeed in the Eat Local challenge and the best way I can think to do that is to have your own tools. I can't think of a better way than this fair," said Jack Kear of the Willy Street Co-op.
The Do-It-Yourself fair kicked off a number of events for the Eat Local challenge, which starts in mid-August. You can still sign up for the challenge by visiting the Willy Street Co-op.

Two weeks ago, the judge blocked funding for embryonic stem cell research, citing an amendment that prohibits the use of taxpayer money in work that destroys an embryo.
