MADISON (WKOW) -- Whitewater professors went the extra distance to make their voices heard today.
Two UW-Whitewater professors walked all the way from Whitewater to Madison.
Others met them in the middle and headed to the Capitol.
They wanted to deliver a letter by hand to legislators.
They say they're worried about UW-Madison splitting off from the rest of the system.
"A lot of people think that flexibility is a code word for, you're on your own," said Wallace Sherlock, Associate Professor, UW-Whitewater.
The group left Thursday from Whitewater and arrived in Madison late last night.
They then finished their walk this morning arriving at the Capitol.
