Justice Prosser's campaign co-chairman resigns

MADISON (WKOW) -- State justice David Prosser didn't know a chairman of his campaign was planning to resign and endorse his opponent in next Tuesday's elections.

Former Governor Patrick Lucy announced last night he was leaving his post as honorary co-chair of the Prosser campaign and would endorse Joanne Kloppenburg for Supreme Court.

Justice Prosser told us he did not hear from the former governor before the announcement.

"We worked with him quite a while to persuade him to come on, and I think he's probably been the subject of some pressure to withdraw," Prosser said.
