MIDDLETON, Wis. (WKOW) - The Middleton-Cross Plains School Board is paying $300,000 in legal fees after deciding to fire a seventh-grade teacher at Glacier Creek Middle School for viewing porn at school.
Board President Ellen Lindgren says the board hates spending its limited cash on lawyers, but it's doing so because the community supports firing teachers who view porn at the school.
Union leaders tell our media partner, the Wisconsin State Journal the discipline was based on indistinct standards, however they are not defending the teacher's behavior. Union lawyer Willie Haus says the district targeted the teacher, as he was a critic of the school board.
