UPDATE: Skydiving accident near Columbus


UPDATE (WKOW) -- The Dane County Sheriff's office says several EMS assisted in an accident involving a skydiver at Seven Hills Skydivers near Columbus.

Officials say the skydiver was taken via MedFlight to UW-Hospital with pelvic, leg, and facial injuries. The skydiver is in stable condition.

Representatives with Seven Hills Skydivers said the man had a bad landing, and did not have problems with his parachute.

The man is an experienced skydiver, with 4,000 jumps under his belt.

Employees of the Seven Hills Skydivers say the skydiver is doing very well in the hospital and is in good spirits. The skydiver sustained a broken leg.

They say the accident is just one of those things in the world of skydiving.


TOWN OF YORK (WKOW) -- Dane County Comm. has confirmed an accident for a fallen sky diver. 

The accident occurred at Seven Hills Skydivers on Highway 73 near Columbus. They say the call came in around 10:20 a.m.

MedFlight was requested.
