LANCASTER, Wis. (AP) -- Three men accused of trying to dig up a grave in Cassville in order to have sex with a dead woman have entered not guilty pleas in Grant County Circuit Court.
The case against twin brothers, Alex and Nicholas Grunke, and Dustin Radke was reinstated last July by the state Supreme Court.
The high court ruled Wisconsin law bans sex with dead bodies.
A lower court earlier ruled nothing in state law banned necrophilia.
Armed with shovels, a crowbar and a box of condoms, prosecutors say the men went to a cemetery in Cassville in 2006 to remove the body of a 20-year-old woman killed the week before in a motorcycle crash.
All three entered not guilty pleas to party to attempted sexual assault, attempted theft and attempted criminal damage to a cemetery.
