STOUGHTON (WKOW) --  Target made a big goof this weekend: they posted a price hundreds of dollars lower than it should've been.

Cally Ehle's little bundle of joy will arrive next month, along with a little bundle of bills, so when she found a great deal on a car seat, she jumped at it.

Britax car seats are normally around $279.00, but this one was on sale on Target.com for $59.00. But the next morning Target sent Ehle an email, saying it was a pricing error on their part, and she was more than welcome to buy the car seat at full price.

Target listed the wrong price, $220 too low, and they told 27 News they will not honor the lower price. In the statement, the company blamed a "pricing feed system malfunction," and adds, "It's never our intent to disappoint our guests."

We called the Federal Trade Commission in Washington. They said they're starting to get complaints about this, but Target is probably not doing anything illegal unless it intentionally tried to mislead customers

Target would not tell us how many people ordered the car seats, or how many orders the company cancelled.
