Tickets for the Wisconsin men’s basketball Grateful Red student section went on sale Thursday, Sept. 14 at 7 a.m. CT. By 7:12 a.m., all 2,100 tickets were gone. With the sellout, the student section at the Kohl Center for Wisconsin basketball has completely sold out for 13 of the last 16 seasons. Wisconsin Men's Hockey announced the addition of goalie Kyle Hayton on Friday.  Hayton comes to the Badgers a graduate transfer from St. Lawrence where he was the ECAC Goaltender of the Year and a second-team All-American as a junior in 2016-17.  That year Hayton also established program records for career wins, appearances, saves, shutouts and goals against average. The Big Ten bested all conferences in men's basketball attendance for the 41st consecutive season, totaling 3,119,823 for home and league tournament games. That's the most in Big Ten history. The Badgers football team will unofficially kick off training camp on Friday night. The team will host Family Fun Day from 6-8 p.m. at Camp Randall Stadium. That will be a light-hearted way to start an especially long preseason. The NCAA recently banned two-a-day practices in the football ranks, due to safety concerns. The Wisconsin wrestling team picked up eight wins, two of which sealed a spot in the quarterfinals for the stellar senior duo of Connor Medbery and Isaac Jordan.

Four Badgers receive All-America honors

For a second-straight year, senior goaltender Ann-Renee Desbiens earned first-team honors, becoming the second Badger in program history to accomplish the feat. Annie Pankowski earned second-team accolades for the second-straight year, while seniors Sarah Nurse and Jenny Ryan also joined Pankowski on the second team.

Granato, Frederic honored by Big Ten

The Badgers men's hockey team broke a pair of lengthy droughts when the Big Ten released it's annual award winners. Tony Granato was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year. Trent Frederic took home Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors. Wagner signed a deal with the Detroit Lions that will reportedly pay him more than $9 million a year, making him the highest paid right tackle in the NFL. Zeitler’s new deal with the Browns is reportedly five years for $60 million, making him the highest paid guard in the NFL.

Happ leads Badgers' All-Big Ten selections

Several Badgers took home season-ending awards from the Big Ten Conference. Ethan Happ was the top Wisconsin honoree. He became just the second Badgers sophomore to be named first-team All-Big Ten.  Happ was a first-team pick by both the media and coaches. Badgers slip two spots in A.P. poll

The Badgers fell two spots in the Associated Press Men's College Basketball poll after going 1-1 the previous week. Wisconsin checks in at No. 24. The Badgers will be the No. 2 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. They'll face either Iowa or Indiana on Friday at 5:30 p.m. CT in Washington, D.C.
