Wild forward Kunin out for rest of season with ACL tear

Minnesota Wild rookie forward Luke Kunin is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.    The Wild announced Monday that Kunin suffered the tear during Sunday's 4-1 win at Detroit. He is expected to have surgery in the coming weeks and return to play in about seven months.

Founding Father of Wisconsin Soccer’ Bill Reddan passes away

 William “Bill” Reddan, the inaugural head coach of the Wisconsin men’s soccer program, passed away on Monday at the age of 90. Inducted into the Wisconsin Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009, Reddan introduced men’s soccer as a club sport at UW in 1964 and coached the intramural team for 13 years.

Brad Davison scored 19 points and Ethan Happ had 14 points and eight rebounds to lead Wisconsin to a 71-49 victory over in-state rival Milwaukee on Friday night. An explosive first set wasn’t enough to push the 11th-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team past No. 1 Penn State Friday night at the UW Field House. Arkansas fires Former Wisconsin Coach Bret Bielema

Arkansas has fired coach Bret Bielema after five disappointing season, moments after a season-ending 48-45 loss to Missouri on Friday. The loss left Arkansas with a 4-8 record, capping only the second losing season of Bielema's 12-year career. Connelly has "chip on his shoulder" against Minnesota

No. 5 Wisconsin heads to Minnesota this weekend to close out the regular season.  The Badgers hope to retain "The Axe" for the 14th straight year.

One of the leaders of the team's defense, junior linebacker Ryan Connelly, is from Minnesota.  He hails from Eden Prairie, which is about 20 minutes from the University of Minnesota.  However, Connelly says the Gophers didn't recruit him.

Bo Ryan Inducted into National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame

Legendary Wisconsin men's basketball coach Bo Ryan was inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday Night.  The ceremony took place in Kansas City, Missouri, as Coach Ryan is part of the 2017 class.  Ryan coached for 32 years at UW-Platteville, UW-Milwaukee and UW-Madison.  He coached the Badgers from 2001 until he retired at the end of 2015. The top defense in all of college football is a big reason why #5 Wisconsin got a huge 24-10 win over #24 Michigan on Saturday. Linebackers T.J. Arkansas fires Athletic Director, is Bielema next?

Arkansas has fired athletic director Jeff Long after nearly 10 years at the school. The College Football Playoff selection committee member, formerly the chairman until this season, was under contract through June 2020.
