MADISON (WKOW) -- Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. will be honored across the country and right here at home on Monday.
The 30th Annual State of Wisconsin tribute and ceremony will be held at the capitol from 12 noon through 3:00 p.m.
Governor Jim Doyle is among the speakers scheduled to talk about King's legacy as a civil rights leader.
Earlier, the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Recognition Breakfast will be held at Edgewood High School. The Urban League will present the Outstanding You Person Awards to middle and high school students of color who were chosen by their school for achieving at academics, extra-curriculars and community service.
The breakfast is Dane County's oldest and largest family observance of Dr. King.
