MADISON (WKOW) -- A recent study by Nielsen found three of five people who sign up for Twitter drop out by the second month, winning them the name Twitter quitters.
Twitter.com is basically a place where you can post short messages throughout the day - called tweets.
At 4 million people, Twitter has far fewer users than Facebook, but enrollment was up more than 100 percent last month. Twitter is not showing the same staying power, however.
By comparison, 70 percent of the people who sign up for Facebook or MySpace stick around.
