BARABOO (WKOW) -- Officials in Sauk and Columbia counties say some residents still need help dealing with last year's flooding.
Around 1,700 people in those counties signed up for aid with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Workers estimate about 10-percent still need financial or structural assistance.
Volunteers are now combing FEMA lists trying to find people who still need aid.
The flooding happened last June in the southern two-thirds of the state. About 39,000 residents registered for aid in the 30 state counties declared eligible for assistance.
