MADISON (WKOW) -- The Henry Vilas Zoo will unveil its completed Lussier Education Pavilion at a special ceremony Thursday afternoon.
The addition is between the herpaterium and the prairie dog exhibit and will provide a covered, year-round space for zoo education programs.
The zoo says its multi-purpose design will make it available for rentals or for use in zoo programs and events.
Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk will help unveil the new addition and will announce new, potentially record setting zoo attendance figures.
She says it suggests more families are seeking out close-to-home destinations in the current economy.
