SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Some Sun Prairie High School students have been invited to give a talk on construction and building skills at a national conference in Kansas City next month.
The students built an Energy Star and Green Built-certified home as part of the school's home construction class. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house sold for $229,900.
Students Eric Peppin and Sarah Kolb will give the presentation, which will include 3D and physical models of the home in Sun Prairie's Hickory Grove Estates area.
Classmates who helped build the home also will help them put together the presentation.
The National Leadership and Skills Conference is run by SkillsUSA, which helps students develop leadership, teamwork, technical and pre-engineering skills.
