EDGERTON (WKOW) -- Edgerton native Steve Stricker returned home to help raise money for his old course Memorial Day weekend.
Edgerton Towne Country Club is the site of this week's Little Heroes. There plenty of youngsters won the opportunity via raffle to take part in the day with Stricker.
On each hole, a kid pulled the flag for Stricker and his group.
Their reward was a flag autographed by Stricker, a picture and a chance to high five and mingle with him.
"He's my favorite golfer," Brock Zartman said.
"We watched him on TV," little Carson added.
"He's really good," said Isaiah.
A few kids were even lucky enough to play a hole with Stricker. A raffle was held to play the par 3's with Stricker.
9-year old Brock was one of the lucky ones to win that prize. His tee shot went wayward, but it was still fun for him.
"What an experience for him. Brock not Steve. Although maybe one day it will be," Brock's dad said.
And as for what the kids thought of Stricker
And what did the kids think of Stricker's game.
"He smacked it," little Will said.
But for little Carson, just meeting Stricker was huge.
"He's my hero."
