MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Deborah Ford has been confirmed as the new chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Ford now serves as vice president of student affairs with the University of West Florida.
The UW System Board of Regents confirmed her selection Friday to head the Kenosha-based UW-Parkside.
UW System spokesman David Giroux said her salary will be $199,500 a year, but with a 3 percent furlough now in place to cut costs, it will be $193,515.
She takes over for Lane Earns, who has served as interim chancellor since Jack Keating retired last year.
