LOS ANGELES (WKOW) -- The Los Angeles County Coroner's office says an autopsy on the body of pop legend Michael Jackson is scheduled for today, but results will likely not be released until final toxicology tests are complete, which could take several days and sometimes weeks.
Jackson died Thursday at UCLA Medical Center after suffering a cardiac arrest in his rented home in Los Angeles.
Paramedics tried to resuscitate him for nearly an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where he later died.
The 50-year-old pop icon was preparing for a 50-concert tour, set to kick off in July in London.
Jackson's "Thriller" album, released in 1982, remains the top-selling album worldwide of all time.
