The Madison School District has announced that from June 22nd through August 14, free meals will be provided to all children at the 29 Summer Food Service Program sites.
The Summer Food Service Program fills the void of children's nutrition during summer vacation.
It was established to ensure that children in needy areas would continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer break from school.
Meals are similar to those served under the national School Lunch and School Breakfast programs.
Any child between the ages of 2 and 18 may receive up to two free meals per day through the SFSP.
