Rhythm and Booms postponed until Sunday

MADISON (WKOW) -- Due to the threat of severe weather this evening, Rhythm and Booms 2009 has been moved to tomorrow (Sunday, June 28th). We apologize for any inconvenience.

The event will run on schedule, just tomorrow, instead of today. All music stages, events, vending and family fun will continue, just on Sunday instead of Saturday. Our world-class fireworks display will occur at 9:30PM.

Due to high winds Sunday, we have to expand our safety zone in some areas by about 100 feet. We will only pull your tarp up if it lies in an area that falls within this expanded safety zone. All other tarps are OK to stay overnight, though we can't guarantee they'll still be there in the morning because of the severe weather tonight.

Catered Food
Catered food at our sponsor seating area will be served at the same times indicated on your tickets to that area, just tomorrow, instead of today.

Madison (WKOW) -- In the interest of public safety Rhythm and Booms has been postponed until Sunday, June 28th.

The Mayor of Madison, Fire Inspector, Captain of Police in charge of the event met with Terry Kelly Saturday morning and decided that in the interest of public safety due to a line of strong thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening, all events associated with Rhythm and Booms, including the fireworks, will be held on Sunday.
