MADISON (WKOW) -- The excitement of Rhythm and Booms 2009 is postponed until Sunday.
The postponement left a few disappointed, but many plan on heading back over Sunday.
Rides were running throughout the day, and crowds picked up steam near the carnival.
Over by the fireworks, tents are closed up, but volunteers aren't all just sitting around. In anticipation of heavy winds Sunday, they've pushed back the safety fire line 100-200 feet.
Mike Wagner, a volunteer, says, "It gives us another day to set up stuff gives us a little bit more time to make sure things are in place in case we need to move stuff."
That now includes adjusting handicap and volunteer seating: and a whole lot of fencing.
Even over in the parking lot, the weather isn't putting a damper on Ron and Lisa Langer's weekend. They're waiting for the Mallards game, and now for Sunday's excitement.
Lisa Langer says, "We were already thinking about possibly coming back tomorrow. It's just an experience: they are so phenomenal. It's just an experience he needs to see."
The festivities start Sunday at noon, with fireworks at dusk.
