Little girls report possible enticement near downtown McDonald's

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police are searching for a man who they say may have tried to entice a pair of little girls into his car Tuesday evening.

A mother from Fitchburg told police she was at a store on S. Park Street and allowed her daughters, 10-years-old and 2-years-old, to walk to the nearby McDonald's for ice cream.

The older daughter says while they were in that parking lot, a man stopped and asked if they wanted a ride home. The girl said no, and the man then asked her where their mother was.  At this point, the girls became frightened because he was trying to get them to go with him, so she and her sister ran away.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 40s, thin build, balding with facial stubble. He was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and driving a four-door, white car with a black stripe or plastic strip extending from the front to rear wheel.

If you have any information, call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014 or text the keyword DANE along with a message of up to 160 characters, to CRIMES (274637).
