MADISON (WKOW) -- The manager of a Dollar Tree store on Madison's west side had quite the encounter with an unruly customer Thursday afternoon, with police eventually arresting the suspect for reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and trespassing.
According to police, 57-year-old Peter Vang entered the store on S. Whitney Way with no shoes and picked up some items, including pastry snacks and a knife.
Vang, who had been banned from the store in the past, was asked to leave and the manager followed him out the door and called 911.
Vang didn't leave, however, and instead attacked the manager, slashing at him dozens of times with the knife and kicking at him.
When police arrived, the suspect had put the knife down and was eating the snacks.
Vang was arrested and tentatively charged with: 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, Battery, unlawful trespassing and two counts Disorderly Conduct.
Vang was arrested a few days ago as well, for depositing human waste on the Woodmans building.
