MADISON (WKOW) -- Chilly temps are not stopping shoppers from hitting up hot deals at Maxwell Street Days.
The annual sidewalk sale got underway Friday. Amid rain and unseasonably cold temperatures, shoppers scoured the racks for bargains.
It's the 33rd annual sale for State Street stores. Held rain or shine, the three day sale is giving owners a much needed boost this year. They say with the economy, any cash flow is necessary. Shoppers say they're coming out for the bargains.
Store owners expect more people to start their Christmas shopping in July because of the bargains here.
Its estimated 30-thousand people come to the sale every year.
