WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- President Barack Obama is scheduled to meet with the crew of Apollo 11 Monday afternoon to mark one of the most important moments in space travel.

July 20 marks 40 years since astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong became the first men to land on the moon.

NASA administrator and former astronaut Charles Bolden is also invited to the meeting at the White House.

Above Earth, the astronauts aboard the shuttle station complex will celebrate the anniversary with their own spacewalk, to hook spare parts to the international space station.
