Two arrested in Janesville after marijuana/cocaine bust


JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Rock County Police arrested two people in Janesville after finding dozens of marijuana plants and cocaine in their home.

The Rock County Special Investigations Unit, which is made up of Deputies from the Rock County Sheriff's Office and Officers from the Clinton Police Department, searched homes at 1929 Happy Hollow Rd in Rock Township and 5507 Kennedy Rd in Harmony Township at 7:00 a.m. Monday.

They found 147 marijuana plants and 1727 grams of processed marijuana.  They also seized a loaded .22 caliber pistol, an assortment of growing equipment and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested two people who live at the kennedy Road home.  61-year old Arthur R. Pierce and 40-year old Wendy M. Straka are facing tentative charges of Manufacture/Delivery of marijuana, Maintaining a drug trafficking place (2 counts) and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. 

Straka owns the 1929 Happy Hollow Road home.
