"Accidental death" at CA plant that supplies McDonald's
INDUSTRY, CA (WKOW) -- Police confirm a woman died in an accident at a food processing plant that is one of the biggest suppliers for McDonald's restaurants.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Detectives say the 40-year old woman was an employee at Golden State Foods in Southern California. She was found dead in a machine early Tuesday morning. Investigators believe her death was accidental.
Irvine based Golden State Foods has distribution centers throughout the country and is a major supplier for McDonald's restaurants.
According to the companies website, Golden State Foods developed the sauce for the Big Mac in the 1960s.
