Waterloo woman sentenced to five years for cocaine possession

MADISON (WKOW) -- A 34 year old woman from Waterloo was sentenced to five years in prison for possessing five grams of cocaine.

Chief U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb sentenced Kinyata Taliferro-Reid on Thursday.

The Dane County Narcotics and Gang Task Force searched a room at the Highlander motel, on June 19, 2008 that belonged to Odell Dobbs.  Dobbs arrived at the motel with 70 grams of crack.

When confronted, he said there was more cocaine at his house, and his girlfriend Taliferro-Reid could take the officers to it.

She hid the cocaine and firearms behind her house before they arrived, lying that it wasn't there in the first place.  Officers found the drugs and arrested her.
