BARABOO (WKOW) -- Police in Baraboo closed down part of a street there Tuesday morning after being called to an apartment in the area.
Police were first called at about 5:05 a.m. for a battery complaint on 11th Street.
During the investigation, police discovered that a gun was displayed and money was taken from the victims.
Baraboo officers, with help from the Sauk County Sheriff's Department, surrounded the suspected residence and conducted an investigation. No one inside responded to police when they tried contacting someone inside. The road in the area was closed for a short time and residents were asked to stay inside or leave the area as a safety precaution.
The Sauk County Emergency Response Team and Critical Incident Negotiations team were called in to help in the investigation. Two people were arrested. The first was arrested after responding to the negotiators, the other was arrested after officers entered the home. No one was hurt during the incident and police are still investigating what happened. Charges against the suspects are still pending.
