MADISON (WKOW) -- A group of dancers found a way to get a good work out and raise money for a good cause.
It was all part of the Zumbathon fundraiser on Madison's east side. It raised money for the Gilda's Club, a club supporting those with cancer or those who know someone with cancer.
Zumba is a workout inspired by latin-dance. It was a famous dancer and actor's battle with cancer that inspired the event.
Jill Budde, Zumba instructor, says, "Let's take that tribute to Patrick Swayze becasue we're so affected by what he's going through, he and his family. And so I thought you know let's help out with the Gilda's club in Madison and help them out in the same way.
All of the proceeds go directly to the Gilda's club, which offers support for cancer patients and their families.
