MADISON (WKOW) -- A man suspected of being involved in a Watertown-based cocaine ring will spend 4 1/2 years in prison.
A federal judge sentenced 34 year old Scott Thorsen of Ixonia Monday for his role in the cocaine ring.
Thorsen is the 16th person sent to federal prison in connection with the Watertown-based ring. The group's leader, Maximo Pineda-Buenaventura, known on the street as Coco, is serving a 171/2-year sentence.
Police say they tapped more than 8,000 calls between February and June of 2008 and listened in as Thorsen and the others set up deals.
Officers broke the ring up on June 19, 2008, executing 11 search warrants at residences across south-central Wisconsin.
