MILWAUKEE (WKOW) Prosecutors plan to strengthen charges against Labrina T. Brown, the girl accused to killing her step-grandfather following an argument over milk.
She will be charged with first degree intentional homicide, instead of first degree reckless homicide.
Assistant district attorney Kevin Shomin says he's amending the charge now, because it could be more difficult doing so after the preliminary hearing starts next month.
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A 13-year-old Milwaukee girl is accused of killing her step-grandfather following an argument over milk.
Labrina T. Brown is charged in adult court. Police say 48-year-old Robert A. Moon poured out milk that Brown wanted for her cereal so she stabbed him in the neck with a paring knife.
Brown's attorney, Joy Sherard, says there's been a history of problems in Brown's household but she declined to elaborate.
The teen is behind bars on $150,000 cash bond. She faces a maximum of 60 years in prison if convicted.
