MADISON (WKOW) -- Sony has developed a rechargeable battery that it claims charges faster and has a longer life span than current batteries.
Sony says the new lithium ion battery contains a material that helps it fully recharge in 30 minutes-- about half the time current batteries take.
They can also be re-charged upwards of 2- thousand times-- more than four times better than the technology available today. Sony says the batteries will first appear in devices like power tools.. before coming to electronics
