MADISON (WKOW) -- Dane County authorities believe that the body discovered early Sunday morning at a residence on Whenona Drive in Madison was that of an elderly Fitchburg woman reported missing during the month of July.
The Dane County Coroner's Office are examining the remains to determine the manner and cause of death. The body was described as mostly mummified.
Positive identification and notification of next-of-kin probably won't be accomplished until Monday.
