Mt. Horeb bank robbery suspect arrested

MOUNT HOREB (WKOW) -- Mount Horeb Police, Dane County Detectives, and both Green and Rock County officials arrested a 24 year-old Mount Horeb man Monday.

Richard C. Williams was wanted in connection with Friday's robbery at the Mound City bank. He was arrested without incident.

Williams is being held at the Dane County Jail. Charges against him are pending.


MOUNT HOREB (WKOW) -- Authorities are currently on a manhunt for a man who robbed a Mount Horeb Bank.

Police say the man entered the Mound City Bank on the 1000 block of E. Businesses 18-151 and showed a note saying he had a weapon and wanted money.  He then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A Dane County Sheriff's K-9 unit tracked the suspect to the area of Michelle St. and Jennifer Circle where they lost track of him.

The man is described as a white man, between 19 and 24 years of age, 5'7" and a 160 lb.  He was wearing a light brown sweatshirt with a hood, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

MOUNT HOREB (WKOW) -- Law enforcement is responding to a bank robbery in Mount Horeb.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office told 27 News that Mound City Bank in Mount Horeb was robbed Friday morning.

The robber is described as a white man, with brown hair, approximately 5' 7", and 160 pounds. He then fled the scene on foot.

A manhunt for the bank robber is underway.
