Man attacked while jogging, suspects arrested

MADISON (WKOW) -- While jogging on Troy Drive late Wednesday, Aug. 25, an adult male was attacked by two men who attempted to rob him.

The victim was approached by the suspects, who demanded that he empty his pockets. He said no and moved to a well-lit area where he stayed until he believed they were gone. Then the victim continued on his jog.

Near the corner of Randy Lane and Hanover Street, one of the suspects jumped out in front of the victim. The other suspect punched the victim from the side and then tried to go into his pockets.

The victim fought back, leaving one of the suspects with scratches, and the other needing stitches. The victim was able to get away and run home.

Madison police arrested the two suspects, Nathan A. Wieland age 20 and Andrew L. Lutz age 20, on Troy Drive.
