MADISON (WKOW) -- Walgreens says it will give away $1 million worth of seasonal flu shots to people who are uninsured beginning September 1.
The CDC moved up the start date for seasonal flu vaccinations this year to that date. More than 16,000 certified immunizers and pharmacists will administer the seasonal flu vaccine at Walgreens across the country.
The pharmacy chain will distribute vouchers on a first come, first serve basis in select markets.
For those who can pay and those who are insured, Walgreens will charge about $25 per shot.
