Bank robber sentenced to 20 years in federal prison
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- It's 20 years in prison for the Milwaukee man who stole more than $25,000 from a bank.
Samuel J. Potts, 46, was sentenced to 18 years for bank robbery. He also violated the terms of a supervised release for an earlier bank robbery conviction. That violation got him two more years in federal prison.
Authorities say Potts used a paintball gun to rob a Greenfield bank in December; he grabbed a teller by the hair and demanded cash.
Court records say he made off with more than $25,000.
He will be required to pay full restitution to the bank, as part of his sentence.
