MADISON (WKOW) -- New research shows adults will only need 1 shot to protect themselves from the H1N1 virus.
They previously thought everyone would need to be vaccinated twice. A new study shows a single shot will be enough to protect 75-96% of people.
American and Australian researchers also say the vaccine will take effect in 10 days.
The vaccine will be available starting in October.
People are advised to get a flu shot as well.
