The event raises money for the care of the 100 or more dogs the alliance fosters each year.
Volunteers and supporters enjoyed live music and playing with the animals themselves.
Organizers hope funds raised from a silent auction and raffle on Saturday will help continue their mission of rescuing and finding homes for German Shepherds.
"They're a breed that are seemed to be protective or seem agressive, so you also want to bring them closer to the community," said volunteer Michaela Aust. "They're just wonderful animals."
