MADISON (WKOW) -- If you are feeling sick, how do you really know if you have a cold, the seasonal flu or the H1N1 virus?
Doctors say symptoms of the cold include: stuffy nose, congestion, some body aches and a cough.
In both the flu virus and the H1N1 virus, the key difference is a fever. Symptoms of the viruses also include, more intense body aches, dry cough and severe fatigue.
The only way to know for sure if you have the seasonal flu or H1N1 virus is to get tested, but health officials say both the flu and the H1N1 virus can pose serious health risks to children, the elderly and people with other health problems, so you should do your best to protect yourself from both.
The best advice, wash your hands often, and stay home if you are sick.
