MADISON (WKOW) -- The state's Department of Health Services has begun distributing the initial allotment of H1N1 flu vaccine.
The first shipments are going to local health departments and large health care systems. The first people to be vaccinated will be health care workers that will likely work with those that might suffer from the new flu strain.
So far, the vaccine is only being offered in the nasal mist form. The flu shot for the H1N1 virus will be offered at a later time.
More than 2,000 providers across the Wisconsin pre-registered to receive the vaccine.
