Two strong armed robberies overnight in Madison

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police are investigating a pair of strong armed robbery cases that happened late Wednesday and early Thursday.

The first took place at the intersection of Gorham and Livingston around 10:45 p.m.

The victim told police she was waiting for a bus when three men approached her and demanded she hand over her bag.

The suspects fled on foot with her bag. No one was hurt.

Just a few hours later, around 12:40 a.m., three men attacked a pizza delivery employee on the 4300 block of Bagley Pkwy.

The driver told police he went to an address that turned out to be a ruse set up by the suspects.

One of the suspects claimed to not have enough money for the pizza, then a second man attacked the driver and a struggle ensued.

The suspects fled on foot, and despite a K9 track, they got away.

Police have not said whether they believe these incidents are connected.

If you have any information on either of these robberies, contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014 or text DANE along with a message of up to 160 characters to CRIMES (274637).
