Owner of "La Tejeda" in Madison accused of filing false tax return
MADISON (WKOW) -- A Sun Prairie man is accused of filing a false tax return and could face years in prison.
54 year old Francisco Tejeda is charged in Federal Court.
Prosecutors say tejeda operated the specialty grocery store La Tejeda in Madison, where he sold phone cards. In 2004, Tejeda allegedly reported selling $21,000 worth of phone cards, when prosecutors say he actually sold approximately $164,000.
Tejeda faces a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
