RACINE (WKOW) -- Federal prosecutors arrested 15 alleged gang members Thursday and indicted them on drug charges.
They said as many as 41 people in the Racine area have been indicted on drug charges recently. Most are suspected gang members.
Seven of the suspects remain at large.
The suspects are all between 18 and 38 years old, according to U.S. Attorney Michelle Jacobs.
The alleged gang members face charges including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. If convicted, most would face 10 years to life in prison, plus up to $4 million in fines.
The arrests occurred as part of a federal drug crackdown in the Racine area. According to Jacobs, two separate raids accounted for 30 other indictments since last year.
